The Throat October MMXVIII
We are proud to announce that seven new releases under the The Throat banner are available as of now!
[KEEL145] Grand Celestial Nightmare – The Void of Death
Atmospheric, Symphonic Black Metal by Mories of Gnaw Their Tongues, Hagetisse, Pyriphlegethon, etc.
Heavily rooted in the traditions of old, but completed by the utter manic atmosphere that only Mories seems to have mastered.
First official physical release of this full-length record.

Purple pro-cassette with gold pantone print and full-colour inlay. Limited to an undisclosed amount of copies.
[KEEL146] Seer’s Fire – Snow-veiled Plains
Soothing, Atmospheric / Epic Black Metal drenched in melancholy.
Follow-up of the well-received debut full-length that appeared last year. The Seer’s Fire burns brighter than ever.
Two completely new tracks and a re-recorded/remastered version of the “A Forlorn Name” promo track.
Seer’s Fire is a project of R.v.R. of Melancholie, Cer, Toorvond and Chapel Grave.

Translucent pro-cassette with black print and a full-colour inlay. Limited to an undisclosed amount of copies.
[KEEL147] Quellinghe – Demo 3 – Onsuvere waerheit
For Quellinghe Pastor Th. J. Hootsen (V.D.M.) invokes haunting melodies on the church organ and vomits a sermon of soothing words for those that fear the Father,
and makes those that serve the enemy chuckle; for they know the words are unpure and misleading to the holy.

Standard brand cassette with huge eight panel inlay. Limited to an undisclosed amount of copies.
[KEEL148] A Knot Of Tongues – Calm Eyes Speak of Nostalgia
A Knot Of Tongues is a new spawn of the Black Ash Circle from Croatia.
Akin to Ashen Chalice, but ever so different in execution; A Knot Of Tongues is truly a test of cacophonous monotony.
One lengthy track that seamlessly unifies Noise- and Drone-laden Black Metal into a gracious whole.
Monotony, trance, meditation.

Standard brand cassettes. Limited to an undisclosed amount of copies.
[KEEL149] lcbrt – incarnatie
An audial tribute to Dutch poet Lucebert (15 September 1924 – 10 May 1994) in the form of Raw Black Metal stomps.

Translucent cassette. Comes with a 6 page A5 booklet containing poetry and drawings. Limited to an undisclosed amount of copies.
[KEEL150] Smoke – Hier naermaels
For The Throat’s 150th release we are proud to present you Smoke’s debut full-length. Proud, yes… yet our hearts are also filled with an overwhelming feeling of loss.
“Hier naermaels” is archaic Dutch for the afterlife, a more direct translation would be “that which comes after”. Which perfectly explains the concept surrounding this album:
The recording of a debut full-length had previously been planned to be recorded during 2017; when the project would turn a decade old. It was to be dedicated to their long-time conspirator Wm. Berger who had, among many other things, released their 12″ EP through his label Prison Tatt Records in 2013. Unsuspectedly Wm. Berger passed away on the 15th of September that year. Smoke would come back together almost a year later to finish that which had to be done, that which comes after.

With this record we hope to pay homage to what you have meant for us, what you have meant for The Throat and what you have meant for music in general. And to what you mean in that which comes after. You are missed.
In loving memory of our friend Wm. Berger.
Requiescat in pace.
1964 – 2017

Translucent pro-cassette with black print. Limited to an undisclosed amount of copies.
All proceeds of the digital release and cassette release of this record will be donated to the National Stroke Association and the Hersenstichting.

[KEEL151] Ashen Chalice / La Torture des Ténèbres
The Ashen Circle’s main beast Ashen Chalice teams up with the mysterious Canadian project La Torture des Ténèbres.
The result is nothing short of brilliant: a barage of Ambient Noise and Black Metal dissonance so perfectly interwoven and executed in such a unique and never before heard manner that it is genuinly frightening to listen to at times, yet you will be compelled to finish the thing from start to finish, anxiously waiting for an answer which might never come.

Black pro-cassette with white print. Inlay on thick, red cardstock. Limited to an undisclosed amount of copies.
