Please be aware that The Throat is not a company; it is a unique platform dedicated to the distribution of underground music and art. Our mission is solely to support independent artists, and no profit is made through our endeavors. Here, our supporters can submit requests for creative works, and in return, we ask for a contribution.

Every contribution made by our supporters goes directly into sustaining our platform and supporting independent artists. We do not make any profit; our sole focus is to foster and enhance artistic creations. Your contributions are crucial in covering the costs incurred to create the unique works available on The Throat. If you have any concerns or queries, feel free to reach out to us for assistance. By submitting a request for works through The Throat, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the following terms and conditions:


All works are available for worldwide shipping. In the event that your country is not currently supported in our system, please reach out to us at for assistance.

Typically, works are dispatched within 3 to 7 business days after we receive your contribution and complete the processing. However, during peak seasons like sales, holidays, or festivals, dispatch times may vary. It’s important to note that The Throat is not an ordinary online store; we do not operate as a standard company. Many of our releases are individually hand-dubbed in real time, requiring a significant amount of care and time.

During December’s festive season, we do not ship one week before, during, or one week after the holidays.

All requested works are shipped from The Netherlands using PostNL and DPD, with alternative services like DHL, UPS, and FedEx only utilized under private agreements.

While works are dispatched at your own risk, rest assured that we take special care to protect fragile items. We cannot be held responsible for international delivery delays due to customs clearance or unforeseen events, so please allow ample time for delivery. The estimated transit time begins from the day of dispatch.


Contributions for requested works can be made through PayPal or BACS (Bank Transfer), with the choice made during the securing process. We do not accept alternative contribution options, but credit card contributions can be facilitated through the PayPal option.

A PayPal service contribution is required, calculated based on a set percentage determined by PayPal, contingent on the supporter’s location.

Contributions should be in our bank or PayPal account within one week (seven days) of placing a request. Failure to comply may result in the cancellation of your request, although private agreements may be considered in certain situations.

Returns / Exchanges

Returns are accepted under special circumstances, and if you are dissatisfied with your requested works, please contact us at store@thethroat.

We are unable to facilitate exchanges for shipping and handling costs. Supporters are responsible for covering shipping costs associated with returns. We cannot be held liable for lost packages in the event of returning works.

If a package is returned to us due to reasons beyond our control, we will resend the package only after the supporter contributes additional shipping costs. Failure to provide these additional contributions within a work week (seven workdays) may lead to the cancellation of the request for works, with an exchange of the contribution amount minus the initial shipping and handling costs.

In the unfortunate event of a lost package by postal services, we can only offer an exchange once the postal service concludes their investigation and compensates us. This process may take up to five months.

While we cannot assume responsibility for incidents involving postal services or couriers, we are always eager to assist if any issues arise with your request for works. Please note that we reserve the right to delete a supporter’s information if we receive a PayPal claim/dispute, particularly when the supporter has chosen an unregistered shipping option for their request for works. In such cases, the supporter will be restricted from making future requests through an IP Block.

Exchanges are not available under the following circumstances or for the following reasons:

  1. The supporter has provided an erroneous shipping address.
  2. The supporter has opted for an unregistered shipping option.
  3. Damaged jewel cases for CDs, cracked norelco cases for cassettes, and/or harm to records/record sleeves due to improper handling by postal services.
  4. Scuffed/aged norelco cases for cassettes when it is an intentional part of the design of that work.
  5. Any aspect of the work, whether lyrical, auditory, or otherwise.
  6. High import costs determined by local customs.

However, we are open to providing a (partial) exchange under the following circumstances or for these reasons:

  1. Duplication/dubbing errors and flaws (valid when proven through an audio sample or video).
  2. The platform has not met a reasonable dispatch time without notifying the supporter.
