By placing an order with The Throat, you agree with the following terms and conditions:
All products are available to ship worldwide. Some countries of destination are not yet implemented in our system; if there’s no checkout option for your country please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
All orders will be shipped between 2 to 8 business days after receipt of payment and processing is completed, however dispatch time may differ at busy seasons such as sale season, holidays, festival season, etc. We do not ship a week before, during or a week after Christmas season.
All orders are shipped from The Netherlands using PostNL, we do not use alternative shipping services such as DHL, UPS or DPD.
Up to four cassettes can be shipped worldwide using the cheapest, unregistered shipping option. We can not offer unregistered shipping for more than four cassettes to a few set destinations, mostly in South American, Asian, African and Eastern European territories.
Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.
We are not responsible for international delivery delays due to custom clearance and other unexpected events. Please allow enough time for your order to be delivered.
Estimated transit time starts from the day of dispatch.
Payments for orders can be made either using PayPal or BACS (Bank Transfer), a choice can be made during checkout. We do not accept other payment options. Credit card payments can be made through the PayPal payment option.
We do not charge PayPal fees, potential PayPal fees are partially calculated into the fee for shipping and handling. The remainder of the potential PayPal fee is financed by us; we fully support PayPal and feel it’s fair we should pay the largest part of their fees as PayPal ensures a fair sale process for both seller and buyer.
We expect Bank Transfer payments to be in our account within a work week (seven work days) of placing an order. If we have not received a payment before the eighth work day we hold the right to cancel your order. In some situations a private agreement can be made.
Returns / Refunds
We allow returns only under very special circumstances, if you are unhappy with your order you can contact us at store@thethroat.
We can not offer a refund for shipping and handling costs.
Shipping costs for returns are to be handled by the buyer.
We can not be held responsible for lost packages if items are returned.
If a package is returned to us due to any reason not caused by us we will reship the package only after payment of additional shipping costs by the buyer. Failure to pay additional shipping costs within a work week (seven work days) can result in cancellation of the order and a refund of the order amount minus the initial shipping and handling costs.
If a package gets lost by postal services we can only offer a refund after said postal service has finished their investigation and has compensated us. This process can sometimes take up to five months.
We can take no responsability for incidents with postal services or couriers, but are always willing to help if something went wrong with your delivery.
We hold the right to delete a buyers’ account if we receive a PayPal claim/dispute when the seller has chosen an unregistered shipping option for their order. The buyer will then be banned from placing future orders through an IP Block.
We can not offer a refund under the following circumstances or for these reasons:
The customer has entered an erroneous shipping address.
The customer has chosen an unregistered shipping option.
Cracked jewelcases for CD’s, cracked norelco cases for cassettes and/or damage to records / record sleeves in the case of improper handling by the postal services.
Scuffed/old norelco cases for cassettes when it is part of the design of that release.
Content of a release. Be it lyrical, audial or any other reason.
High import costs that are determined by local customs.
Articles that are in a pre-order phase.
We can offer a (partial) refund under the following circumstances or for these reasons:
Duplication/dubbing errors and flaws (when proven through an audio sample or video).
The seller has not met a reasonable dispatch time without notifying the buyer.
