A harrowing and raw manifestation of Black Noise, Geestesziek is a project forged under the most extreme and oppressive conditions. Captured during a rare conjugal visit to one of its members, the recording was made using archaic equipment salvaged from the asylum’s decaying audio facilities, left to rot after music therapy was deemed unsuccessful in its attempts to provide solace for the institution’s troubled residents.

This anonymous project features contributors from The Throat label’s roster, yet its true identity remains shrouded in mystery. The result is an unrelenting, visceral listen—Black Noise in its purest, most unsettling form. It’s a tortured and bleak exploration of the human psyche, a chaotic and agonizing journey that refuses to offer any reprieve.
