Woudgilde was the solo project of Somberling (aka Esgaroth / D.V.) of Quaet Gespuys, and its output remains some of the most raw, unrestrained Black Metal the Dutch scene has ever produced. An artistic exploration that rejected convention, Woudgilde’s work was uncompromising and truly outsider, making a lasting impact on the 2000s Dutch Black Metal landscape.
