Description
Originally recorded and intended for release in 2008, Corporeal Indulgence was shelved without proper distribution, never reaching the wider underground. Now, for the first time, this long-lost cassette is finally made available, unearthing a hidden chapter of obscure and isolationist Black Metal.
A project shrouded in mystery, Godemiché draws heavy inspiration from the dreamlike, narcotic haze of Velvet Cacoon, delivering a hypnotic, lo-fi Black Metal experience that is both cold and immersive. Side A consists of bleak, reverb-drenched Black Metal, weaving droning riffs with distant, spectral vocals to create a sound both meditative and suffocating. The atmosphere is thick with a sense of detachment, like a forgotten relic from an abandoned world.
Side B, in stark contrast, strips away the distortion and fury, revealing a deeply melancholic piano suite. Haunting and introspective, these compositions feel like echoes from a long-dead past, carrying a sense of loss and longing. The stark minimalism only amplifies the bleakness, making for a deeply affecting and immersive experience.
A long-overdue unveiling of a lost artifact, Corporeal Indulgence is an essential release for devotees of underground obscurities and fans of the more hypnotic, hallucinatory side of Black Metal.
