A final invocation of darkness—Profane Apotheosis compiles the complete works of Unholy Sacrament, a Dutch entity devoted to the most unrelenting Black Metal of Death. This CD brings together the 2018 demo of the same name, originally released by The Throat, alongside the never-before-heard Shaytaniun Sessions, of which only two tracks had previously surfaced on a self-released promo tape.

Void of traditional guitar work, Unholy Sacrament relied solely on bass to conjure an oppressive, abyssal sound—deep, cavernous, and utterly visceral. Their improvisational yet calculated approach merges the ritualistic intensity of Archgoat and Beherit with the chaotic spontaneity of Bestial Summoning, resulting in a truly sinister and otherworldly experience. Drenched in blasphemous atmospheres, the band shifts from relentless bestial fury to churning doom-laden dirges, occasionally punctuated by spectral synth work.

This pro CD edition, limited to 100 copies and released by Charnel Sanctum (AUS), serves as the band’s final statement—an epitaph to a project that never sought the light.
